'He was spitting everywhere and one time it got on her camera so she wiped it off and looked semi-irritated,' said a concertgoer

CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE: Marilyn Manson is likely to plead no contest for allegedly ‘shooting his snot’ at the camerawoman during a concert. In 2019, the ‘Sweet Dreams’ crooner was booked on two Class A misdemeanor simple assault charges, after which he decided to turn himself in. The artist was released after nearly two years without bail.

As per Associated Press, a notice of intent was filed on Monday, July 17, as per which the 54-year-old musician is likely to plead no contest to only one charge while dismissing the other in the ‘fully negotiated plea.’ This in other words means, Mansion will not be contesting the charge and does not admit guilt either. He now would face a sentence of a $1,200 fine with part of it suspended and 20 hours of community service within six months. He also must remain arrest-free and need to notify the local police in case he performs near New Hampshire for two years.

Why did Marilyn Manson blow his nose on a camerawoman?

During a concert at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford on August 19, 2019, Marilyn Manson allegedly blew his nose at a videographer, and also spit at her. After being charged, he surrendered to the Hollywood division of the Los Angeles Police Department, amid reaching a deal with Gilford Police Department in New Hampshire. In July 2021, a statement was made by Anthony Burpee, Gilford Police Chief, that he was “pleased with Mr. Warner's decision to finally address the arrest warrant that has been outstanding since 2019," and there will be no interviews conducted on the same by the department.

A few of the concertgoers told People, that they saw him ‘spit and shoot his snot,’ "He was spitting everywhere and one time it got on her camera so she wiped it off and looked semi-irritated," claimed one. "I think her final straw is he got on the floor, got within 2-3 feet of her, and hacked a giant snot rocket at her, not the camera. She was pissed off and disgusted so she stormed off and he just laughed," they alleged.

'The alleged victim consented to exposing herself '

Manson initially pleaded not guilty in court, as his attorney Kent Barker claimed that the type of filming Susan Fountain was doing ‘commonly exposes videographers to incidental contact with bodily fluids.’ “The defendant’s performance for the past twenty years are well known to include shocking and evocative antics similar to those that occurred here,” Barker wrote. “The alleged victim consented to expose herself to potential contact with sweat, saliva, and phlegm in close quarters.”

In unrelated incidents, Mansion has been sued by multiple women for sexual and other abuse, which includes a suit by 'Game of Thrones' actor Esme Bianco.
