With a new expansion on the way, many players might be wondering if player housing will be in WoW Dragonflight.
It's a tale as old as time. World of Warcraft players just want a little place to call their own, and they've been asking for it for quite a while. Housing in MMOs has become a pretty popular feature in recent times, with some games going all out to provide players with the tools to create their own corner of paradise.
MMOs like Elder Scrolls Online and Final Fantasy XIV offer players a whole selection of housing choices and items, something that you'd think would fit right in over on Azeroth. As it stands, housing has continued to evade WoW players. But with a new expansion on the horizon, many fans have renewed their hope.
Will World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Have Player Housing?
According to WoW Production Director Patrick Dawson, in an interview with Tech Pulse, the team had considered player housing in the past but "always conclude that it will take a lot of effort to get it right.â
It's been a highly requested feature, and something that Blizzard would no doubt want to put a lot of time into. Sadly, though, it seems there are no plans to bring it to Dragonflight.
âIf we do it then it has to be amazing and exactly what players expect,â Dawson explained. âItâs not something we are considering for Dragonflight.â
While it doesn't rule out player housing heading to WoW at some point in the future, players shouldn't get their hopes up to see it in the latest expansion.
