BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Andrew Tate, a self-proclaimed misogynist, is currently grappling with grave allegations made by a British woman who accused the controversial influencer of raping and strangling her to the point that she lost consciousness. Unfortunately, these allegations are not isolated occurrences for Andrew, who has faced similar claims before.
She is the fourth woman to come forward with such allegations against Andrew. With a history of controversial statements and misogynistic beliefs, the former kickboxer has managed to cultivate a reputation that is anything but respectable.
'I own you, you belong to me'
A 30-year-old woman, who plans to take legal action against Andrew, told that after engaging in sexual activity, the social media personality asserted ownership over her and expressed a desire to end her life, as per The Independent. Joining forces with three other alleged victims, represented by a UK law firm that announced its intent to initiate civil legal proceedings, she adds to the mounting allegations against Andrew, a former kickboxing world champion turned "success coach."
According to the accusor's account, she encountered the influencer during a night out in her hometown of Luton in 2014 when she was 20 years old. Describing their initial interaction as "charming," she stated that they "got along very well" and eventually went back together, engaging in consensual sexual activity where "nothing particularly out of the ordinary happened.”
According to her statement, she asserted that several months later, when they met up again, Andrew started "strangling" her during their sexual encounter and persistently "continued to do so." She said, "He put his hands around my throat and strangled me until I lost consciousness. Then when I came back around again, he was still having sex with me. It was very scary because he is obviously quite a big guy.”
She also alleged that Andrew subjected her to a series of violent threats, including explicit threats to end her life, until he departed the following morning. "He kept saying: 'I own you, you belong to me'," she said, adding that she noticed the white part of one of her eyes had turned entirely red after the incident.
'Tate vehemently denies these accusations'
The spokesperson for Andrew said, "Tate vehemently denies these accusations and does not condone violence of any kind towards women,” to The Independent. He further said, "All sexual acts that Andrew has partaken in have been consensual and agreed upon before by both parties. Andrew strongly encourages women who have experienced assault, in any form, to report it to the relevant authorities. We will not be commenting any further on anyone’s alleged intention to pursue legal action unless such action is submitted to the authorities.”
Andrew, who has faced bans on several social media platforms due to hate speech and expressing misogynistic views, was arrested in Romania in December 2022. Alongside his brother, Tristan Tate, and two additional individuals, he stands accused of engaging in human trafficking, rape, and participating in a criminal organization focused on the sexual exploitation of women.
