Halle Berry was ordered by a court to pay $16,000 per month in child support to her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: According to recent reports, Halle Berry has won another round in her smoldering, ten-year child support battle with ex-partner Gabriel Aubry. Berry, 56, has been involved in expensive custody disputes with the fathers of her two children, Maceo Robert Martinez, 9, and Nahla Ariela Aubry, 15, for many years.

The 'Monster's Ball' actress was forced to pay her ex $16,000 every month in addition to a one-time payment of $115,000 when the two initially clashed in court in 2014; she would subsequently call this amount "extortion." She was able to reduce that amount to $8,000 per month in 2021, but the Oscar winner was still required to hand over an extra 4.3 per cent of her yearly earnings exceeding $1.95 million. New documents, which DailyMail has received exclusively, show Berry, who reportedly earns $10 million every film, is able to cap that sum at $4.5 million. Therefore, she will have to provide her male model baby daddy a maximum of $110,000 each year in addition to the monthly payments.

"Halle shall continue to pay Gabriel 4.3 per cent of any income she receives above $1.95 million, as and for additional child support for Nahla, however, any additional payments of child support pursuant to this Paragraph shall not exceed $109,650 per year, which is the difference between 4.3 per cent of $1.95 million and $4.5 million," the document read. "The parties agree that additional child support over and above $109,650 per year would exceed Nahla's reasonable needs."

Inside Halle Berry's marriage to Gabriel Aubrey

The pair started dating in 2005 after Berry's second marriage to Eric Benet ended, and they made their separation official in 2010. Halle first noticed him on a bus from a different campaign, and by chance, they ran into each other just a few days later on a set. Despite Gabriel being nine years her junior, they had a brief connection. "He wasn’t riding on the bus, he was on the side of the bus, you know, he's a model," she told Jay Leno in 2009. "I saw the picture and I just thought, hmm. I just remember making a mental note of, 'Wow, that’s a good-looking man,' and then three days later, bam, there’s that good-looking man!" she stated at the time, as reported by Hollywood Life.

Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubrey remain 'friends and committed parents'

Halle gave birth to her first child, Nahla on March 16, 2008, even though the two never married. Tragically, the couple split up in 2010, although in a joint statement, they claimed to "remain friends and committed parents to their daughter." Following the breakup, Aubry exclaimed, "She is, and will forever be, one of the most special and beautiful people that I have ever known, and I am certain that we will continue to have only love and respect for one another." They vowed to "remain friends and committed parents," but soon found themselves in court after Berry attempted to take Nahla to live in France with her now ex-husband Olivier Martinez.

Has Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubrey's dispute ended?

Berry is anticipated to get large rewards for two upcoming, possibly successful movies scheduled this year as a result of the court decision. While her Netflix science fiction picture, 'The Mothership,' is scheduled to be released later this year, she is presently filming the action movie 'Our Man from Jersey' with Mark Wahlberg. Under the old arrangement, she would have had to give her ex another $860,000 of that income, presuming she makes $10 million for each. Berry still owes Aubry a $288,000 portion of 2022 profits, to be paid in monthly payments beginning June 1, according to the updated agreement, which was approved by Judge Michelle Kazadi on May 17. The deal, which is in effect until Nahla graduates from high school or turns 19 if she's still in school, gives rise to optimism that the couple's protracted custody dispute is finally coming to an end, as per Daily Mail.
