How social media reacted to Andre Onana's poor attempts to save Mathias Jensen's shot as Man Utd went 1-0 down to Brentford.

It never rains but pours at Manchester United. And thanks to years of neglect, onlookers at Old Trafford know that when it pours, it's monsoon season.

Their saving grace on Saturday is that, physically, it was a lovely warm day. But their on-field woes continued with the visit of Brentford.

There was an innocuous start to their Premier League encounter. After all, Brentford are out-of-form too and could do with just plucking a win out of anywhere to stop the bleeding.

Aaron Hickey went close with two sighters in the early stages before the Bees did break the deadlock.

Casemiro tried to dribble through midfield but found himself swarmed by Brentford shirts and play was turned over to the visitors.

Yoane Wissa advanced into the box and seemed to throw the chance away when a loose touch was intercepted by Victor Lindelof. But the Swede inadvertently cleared the ball back on to Casemiro and into the path of Mathias Jensen.

The Dane's shot was tame and central, but it still ended up rolling over the line and hitting the back in the net, thanks in part to some rather poor goalkeeping from Andre Onana once again, slowly clambering back over and failing to keep United level.

Erik ten Hag showed faith in his summer signing after Onana was poor in Tuesday's loss to Galatasaray, but the Cameroonian is likely running low on good will at this point.

Onana wasn't alone to blame, given that United had several chances to clear their lines before Jensen even got his shot away.

So how do United solve this problem? Should they give free agent David de Gea a call?
