If you're looking for a way to discover upcoming shows that doesn't rely on scrolling

If you're looking for a way to discover upcoming shows that doesn't rely on scrolling through the latest viral tour clips on TikTok, Apple Music has you covered.

Today (May 16), Apple launched new concert discovery features on Apple Music and Maps. Now, the music streaming platform will allow users to listen to set lists of select upcoming tours through a new feature called Set List. Apple also released 40 new Apple Music Guides that spotlight some of the best live music venues across the world.

Created by Apple Music editors, the guides include cities like Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York City, San Francisco, Berlin, London, Paris, Vienna, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sydney, and Mexico City. It's a fun collaboration between Apple Music and Maps that gives fans a new entry point to learn local music history. The guides also allow fans to see upcoming concerts in the various cities highlighted through Shazam, which is owned by Apple.

Notably, Apple Music is not selling concert tickets through Set List or Apple Music Guides. When you click to see upcoming concerts through Shazam, Shazam will then link you to outside ticket providers. Last year, its competitor Spotify got in on the ticket game and piloted Spotify Tickets. Meanwhile, TikTok teamed up with Ticketmaster last August.

It's clear that everyone wants in on live events. These updates come at a time where buying tickets is a fraught experience and frustration with Ticketmaster is at an all-time high.
