MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Robert De Niro's grumpy mood was on display during the second day of discrimination trial as well.

The ‘Raging Bull’ star arrived and suddenly was in the thick of things in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday, October 31.

Counted among the best actors of all time, the 80-year-old was asked about asking his longtime ex-assistant to scratch his back, De Niro replied, “You got me!”

Chase Robinson has accused the Oscar winner of his misogynist behavior, unwanted touching, and abusive language.

The ‘Cape Fear’ suggested it may have happened twice when he had asked her only because he had an itch in a place where he couldn’t reach.

“Ok, twice? You got me! I’m saying this is nonsense,” De Niro said in an obviously frustrated tone. “It was never done with any disrespect,” the celebrated actor added.

Robert De Niro admits he may have called Chase Robinson twice for work while she was at her grandmother's funeral

At another instance during the hearing, De Niro also admitted it was possible he may have asked Robinson to get him a martini from the upscale Nobu sushi lounge at 11 pm.

She claimed that he called him twice knowing that she was attending her grandmother’s funeral. De Niro wanted her to get his teen son a bus ticket, the actor answered, “So?”

De Niro’s lawyer objected in one instance to the questioning his well-known client was forced to undergo, claiming “improper impeachment.”

To this, the ‘Goodfellas’ star said from his stand, “Impeachment? Am I being impeached?”

Everyone burst into laughter, which included the jurors. De Niro then said, “Had to say it, sorry.’’

His lawyer’s objection was overruled, as per the New York Post.

Was Chase Robinson disloyal?

When asked during the hearing if Robinson had been a disloyal employee, De Niro responded, “Disloyal? I don’t know. Whatever. I wanted to get her because she stole stuff from me and I wanted to get it back.”

“The whole case is nonsense, it’s ridiculous,” he blurted, adding “I wanted my things back, that’s all I’m asking. Return my things, return my air miles. Enough is enough."

“She had taken things from me and not done the right thing. I asked her to return them but she didn’t do the right thing. She asked me for a letter of recommendation, which under no circumstances would I ever, ever, ever sign,” 'The Intern' star added.

During the first day of the trial, evidences were presented where De Niro's girlfriend Tiffany Chen felt that Robinson conducted herself as if she were De Niro's wife and even exhibited "imaginary intimacy" with him.

De Niro backed his girlfriend's apprehensions, remarking, "She believed there was something there, and she might have been correct," reports MEAWW.
