Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk are still talking about having a cage match.

Back in June when Meta launched threads, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter/X owner Elon Musk exchanged jabs online suggesting the two might fight each other in a cage match. Well, Elon Musk said “I'm up for a cage match if he is” on Twitter, and then Zuckerberg screenshot the tweet and posted it on Instagram with a request for Musk to “Send Me Location.”

At the time, Musk even joked that he has a wrestling move called “the Walrus” where he lays down on top of his opponent and does nothing.

Well, as it turns out that wasn’t the end of it.

At the time the duo reportedly chatted with Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White about the possibility of a fight. He said he spent an “hour and a half with both of them on the phone” and that “both guys are absolutely dead serious about this.”

In a post on Threads today, Zuckerberg said he was “ready today” to fight Musk, and that he had previously suggested August 26th as the date for their “cage match;” however, Musk has yet to respond. He added he’s not holding my breath” for a response from Musk to the offer.

Despite the lack of confirmation, Musk has been tweeting about the fight today on X. Musk claims that the fight will be live-streamed on X and that all proceeds from it will be donated to “charity for veterans;” however, he declined to name which one.

He’s also tweeted about his alleged training for the fight, which includes bringing weights to work because he’s too busy to work out.

In response to Musk’s tweets, Zuckerberg has also suggested that they use “a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity.”

TBD on whether the duo will actually make it to the ring.
