The NBC host has taken the week off from the morning show to celebrate her special day. Kotb has also been more active on social media to share glimpses of her big day with her followers.
In her latest Instagram picture, she's smiling with her daughter, mom, and close friends.

Kotb shared a cute video on her Instagram, showing the sweet surprise. She also showed the beautiful flower bouquets and balloons she received.

While Kotb is away spending time with her family, her co-workers Al Roker, Savannah Guthrie, and Jenna Bush Hager wanted to make sure she knows they were thinking of her on her special day.
Roker shared a heartfelt message on Instagram along with a series of photos that capture moments he shared with Kotb during their time on the morning program.
He captioned the post, “Wish I could share some #birthdaycake with my dearest @hodakotb but I wish you all the best today”.
Hager also shared her birthday wishes, expressing her fondness for their time together on the show. She captioned the post, “I love sitting next to you (or standing in full snow gear!) You make my life more joyful every, single day! ❤️❤️✨✨✨”.
Also, Guthrie joined in, posting a photo from when she and Kotb first sat at the same desk together about a decade ago. She called their connection "magic then and now."
