CLEVELAND, OHIO: In August, Jake Paul will make his long-awaited comeback to the boxing ring against former UFC champion Nate Diaz. Paul hopes to recover from his first defeat against Tommy Fury earlier this year as Diaz makes his professional boxing debut.

The eagerly awaited fight is less than a month away, and there has been a lot of talk and speculation about it. The most audacious accusation, though, was that the fight between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul was staged.

'Feels like hunger games or some s**t'

Adam Devine, a comedian, and actor, recently spoke on Theo Von's podcast, 'This Past Weekend,' where he discussed the Paul vs. Diaz fight.

"It sort of feels like hunger games or some sh*t like they used to make movies or like in a world where the two richest men in the world just duke it out. It just feels fake you know? And it feels, it's so weird," he said.

Backstage at a Paul vs Andeson Silva promotion event in October of last year, Diaz got into a fight with Paul and his staff. Tommy Fury caused Paul to suffer his first professional boxing defeat. Paul thinks his defeat was for his boxing career the "best thing" that could have occurred.

Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz

Two of the biggest names in combat sports are Paul and Diaz. Paul first achieved fame on the app Vine before transferring his success to YouTube. Paul switched to boxing in December 2019 and faced YouTuber AnEsonGib in his professional debut. Paul won by TKO.

With victories against former UFC fighters Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and Anderson Silva, Paul has a 6-1 professional boxing record. Diaz, one of the UFC's biggest stars, is well-known for his gruff demeanor and no-nonsense outlook. Following his victory against Conor McGregor at UFC 196, Diaz became a superstar.

Diaz has a 21–13 record in mixed martial arts matches. This will be Diaz's debut fight in the ring.
