LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rachel Zegler, who stars in the upcoming film 'Shazam! Fury of the Gods', admitted to being attracted to fellow DC star — none other than 'Batman' Ben Affleck. She playfully declared her affection for him in a recent Q&A. Zegler couldn't contain her admiration for Affleck and even expressed her desire to "make a union" with him. The confession came out of the blue during a lighthearted segment where Zegler, along with her co-stars Asher Angel and Jack Dylan Grazer, engaged in some clay sculpting while answering questions in a Max promo video.
Who would have expected Zegler, who recently joined the DC universe, to pour her heart out about wanting to share Boston Creme donuts with Affleck while messing around with clay? It was a delightful and unexpected moment that left everyone amused. Zegler, in a video shared on Max, revealed, "He loves Dunkin Donuts, I love Dunkin Donuts. He’s from Boston and I’m from New York, which makes us natural-born rivals, but I’ve decided I want to make a union with Affleck. So, Ben, if you’re watching, I’m going to send you some Boston Creme donuts."
Affleck's fondness for Dunkin Donuts is as iconic as his marriage to Jennifer Lopez. The 'Good Will Hunting' star even starred in a Super Bowl ad for the franchise, which has origins in his home state of Massachusetts. After Zegler's candid confession, Asher Angel jokingly suggested that she might have a crush on Affleck, to which Zegler enthusiastically replied, "I do, I do. I have a huge crush on Ben Affleck."
While it's worth noting that Affleck is happily married to JLo for almost a year now, Zegler seems open to settling for a close friendship with the actor. And she has an ingenious plan up her sleeve! It's hard to imagine Affleck turning down the offer of Dunkin Donuts, both legally and emotionally. Zegler further took her plea to social media, sharing the video clip on her Instagram story with a message to Affleck, "Ben Affleck, please interact." She's certainly not holding back!
Interestingly, Zegler has a track record of meeting her celebrity crushes. Back in 2019, she fangirled over Oscar Isaac on Twitter, and the actor later held up a photo of her tweet while promoting 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker', proclaiming himself as a "huge fan" of hers. After a series of exchanges over the years, Zegler and Isaac recently had the opportunity to meet, which she joyfully shared on her Instagram.
It's heartwarming to see a genuine fangirl living her best life! Zegler is undeniably one of Hollywood's brightest new stars, and perhaps someday, she'll have the privilege of becoming besties (or more?) with Affleck, one way or another. Regardless, it is important to note she's already dating her boyfriend Josh Rivera since February 2021. The pair met on the set of Steven Spielberg’s 'West Side Story', where they eventually sparked a real-life romance.
