As the 2023 MLB All-Star Game unfolds in Seattle, follow along live with updates from the FanSided team, including Kevin Henry in the press box.

The 2023 Midsummer Classic is upon us, with the American League playing host to the National League at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. put on a show Monday night during the Home Run Derby, and the All-Star Game will ideally follow suit.

The National League hasn't won the game since 2012, but with a powerful lineup and pitching staff full of capable arms, this could very well be the year.

Gerrit Cole of the New York Yankees and Zac Gallen of the Arizona Diamondbacks will start the game for their respective squads. Both lineups feature plenty of talent, with a slight edge going to the National League due to their versatility.

MLB All-Star Game predictions: Who wins MLB All-Star Game MVP?

FanSided's MLB team took their shots in the dark as to which team will win the All-Star Game, and who will be named MVP.

Robert Murray, FanSided MLB insider: "I'll go with the National League. I think their roster is deeper and more talented than the American League. It will be close – it won't be a blowout or anything – but ultimately I think the NL prevails. Give me Austin Riley for MVP."

Kevin Henry, FanSided MLB reporter: "Call me an optimist, but I believe the National League finally comes out on top for the first time since 2012 by a 5-2 score. Since he didn't participate in the Home Run Derby, Ronald Acuña Jr. finds a way to shine from the leadoff spot and earns the game's MVP honors."

Cody Williams, FanSided Senior Editor: "7-6 National League, MVP: Corbin Carroll. The hometown hero is going to put on a show and help spark the end of the decade-long drought for the National League. Am I a bit worried that guys like Spencer Strider and Marcus Stroman aren't taking the mound for the NL? Sure. But the combination of speed and power throughout the NL roster is just too much for me to look past. Shouts to Kevin and his Acuña MVP pick, but Carroll, even further down the order, can provide a similar type of fireworks."

Mark Powell, FanSided Senior MLB editor: "I'll avoid the clean sweep here and pick the American League. The NL hasn't won this damn thing since 2012, and are playing in an AL ballpark. I'm not sure how many of you watched Shohei Ohtani in the World Baseball Classic, but I did. The Angels haven't been very competitive during his tenure, but every chance this guy gets to put on a show, he delivers. I'm not betting against that, sorry."
