Pete Davidson and his girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders, bought a Cavapoo puppy from a breeder last month from Citipups in Manhattan

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pete Davidson's decision of buying his new pooch from a pet store instead of adopting one from an animal shelter has left many people disappointed. The Senior VP of Cruelty Investigations at PETA, Daphna Nachminovitch, told, "It's tragic that Pete didn’t seek out a borough-born mutt from a city animal shelter, because a scrappy New Yorker with charm, personality, and unconventional handsomeness could have been his perfect match," as per TMZ.

It was previously reported that Davidson and his rumored girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders, bought a Cavapoo puppy from a breeder last month from Citipups in Manhattan. PETA has requested Davidson consider adopting a dog the next time he decides to bring one into his life.

Shelters in the US are overflowing with homeless animals

Daphna said, "Since shelters in New York and across the country are overflowing with homeless animals, PETA urges Pete to show some big heart energy by adopting, not shopping, in the future." Pete recently lost his pet dog, Henry, who was just 2 years old.

Pete's heartfelt message after his dog Henry died

Following the death of Pete's dog, he posted a message where he stated, "Hey guys. I know today is the Bupkis premiere day but I wanna use today to remember my dog Henry. Yesterday we lost a key member of the Davidson family. Henry was only 2 years old but unfortunately got very sick very fast. My mom, sister and I got Henry at the beginning of the pandemic and he saved our lives. Not sure id even be around without him. He was the happiest and sweetest dog ever."

He continued, "He used to get excited when he saw me and would pee everywhere. When I was working at SNL my mom would send me videos of him watching, smiling and making noise when I came on screen. I don’t ever really watch any of my stuff with anyone as I’m far too scared but I didn’t mind watching with Henry. He was truly the best. My mom, sister and I are broken and will miss him forever. We love you Henry. Thank you for making our lives fuller and reminding me what actually matters."

PETA reveals Beer King mutilates Budweiser Clydesdales for 'cosmetic reasons'

MEAWW previously reported that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals shockingly revealed that the King of Beers mutilates its iconic Budweiser Clydesdales solely for 'cosmetic reasons'. Since almost a century ago, Budweiser has used the famous Clydesdale horses in parades, television ads, and even the Super Bowl.

However, according to PETA, the firm has been keeping an "ugly and dirty secret" about the torturous treatment of horses in order to control how they seem while pulling the wagon. PETA's nine-month study at Warm Springs Ranch in Missouri, which serves as both Grant's farm and the official breeding ground for Budweiser Clydesdales, revealed that some horses have their tailbones severed as newborns, as per their official website.
