Liam Gallagher speaks out after being accused of ‘tormenting’ young Man Utd fan
Liam Gallagher has responded after being accused of “tormenting” a young Manchester United fan during Saturday’s FA Cup Final. Gallagher’s beloved Manchester City beat United 2-1 on the day, and he seemed to be enjoying himself as the BBC cameras focused on his reactions for both City goals. After the second goal was scored, he could be seen interacting with a young fan in a United shirt. Gallagher celebrated the goal and then shook the shoulders of a fan in what seemed like a teasing manner. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Now, the singer has stated that he wasn’t “antagonising” the child as some apparently claimed on social media. Instead, he clarified what most people already thought – that it was all a bit of good natured fun. He wrote on Twitter: "The young lad I was apparently antagonising was my mates kid who I was consoling. "He’s a Utd fan I love and adore him we’re not all c****s CTID LG x." It comes after Liam’s brother Noel revealed what it would take to put things behind him and “consider” getting Oasis back together. Noel and brother Liam went their separate ways in 2009 and haven’t played together since then. However, it now looks like Noel could be more open to the idea than he has been for years. Noel Gallagher reveals offer that would make him consider getting Oasis back together
It’s one of the most famous family feuds in music history, but Noel Gallagher has revealed what it would take for him to put things with his brother behind him and “consider” getting Oasis back together. Noel and Liam Gallagher went their separate ways in 2009 and haven’t played together since then. Despite Liam voicing his enthusiasm for a reunion at various times in the past, Noel has always been the one most resistant to getting the Britpop band together again. However, it now looks like he could be more open to the idea than he has been for years. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Noel gave a new interview where he said that he would “properly consider” rejoining Oasis if he was given £8 million. He was asked about the idea on Johnny Vaughan’s Radio X show, where the host said: “A while ago you gave me that chance. “You said, ‘If you turn up to my house with eight million quid cash in an Adidas bag, I’d put them back together’. If I was the middleman in that, we still up for that?” Noel replied: “I would consider it… I would properly consider it, yeah.” The musician was then asked whether being questioned about a possible reunion over the years had become tiresome. He said: “It used to really annoy me when I first started and now it’s just, it’s just whatever… I’m fascinated with people asking the same question and getting the same answer, but the thing that is ongoing and will never get old is how the music just keeps appealing to another generation of fans. “I was up at the Etihad for the Real Madrid game and two young guys, only the same ages as my kid, like 13, 14, kinda leapt out of this box and were like ‘Oh my God’. “[They were] freaking out and then their dad came out and said, ‘they’re massive fans’ and I was thinking God, they were one when I went solo! It just makes me think we did something really brilliant and timeless and yeah, it makes me feel good.” Have your say in our news democracy. Paramore concert stopped because a couple wouldn't stop 'fighting'
Paramore were playing at Madison Square Garden when they were forced to stop the entire concert to deal with a couple fighting and pushing in the crowd. Singer Hayley Williams stepped in while performing on Tuesday (May 30) as the lights came up during the show. The pop rock group were performing the track ‘This Is Why’ when Williams observed a disturbance among the audience. The moment was captured by Tiktoker @madblackbimbo as two fans were seen pushing their way towards the stage. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Members of the crowd can be seen trying to push back at the pair, with people around them pointing to the band and alerting them to the situation. @madblackbimbo Kicked out of a paramore show in 4K?! Hayley Latisha Williams dont play like that; BFFR! 🤣 #paramore #thisiswhy #paramoreconcert #msg #madisonsquaregarden #nyc #newyork #newyorkcity #hayleywilliams #figure8 Then, the music stopped and Williams shouted at them: “Holy s***! F*** you!” The crowd parts and the couple can be seen, with Williams saying: “I will embarrass both of you.” The singer, 34, added: “Both of you need to find somewhere else to take care of that s*** because it’s not happening here.” Williams then explains that ‘This Is Why’ is a song the band love performing live, clearly frustrated that the show had to be stopped for the pair. We imagine that was a pretty awkward car journey home for both of them after that… The comments section was full of people showing support for Williams and the band, with the video poster writing: “He was not going for his gf. He was being aggressive the entire night & shoving and fighting with everyone and that was the final straw for us all lol.” “i was in the nosebleeds and i could not stop thinking [about] this thank you for posting,” another fan wrote. New horror movies inspired by Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh and Cinderella are being made
More horror films that parody our favourite childhood characters are on their way. The childhood tales of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan (Red Shadow Studios) and Cinderella (ChampDog Films) are getting a terrifying transformation as a result of the stories being part of the public domain. It comes after the controversial Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey movie that was panned by critics but was commercially successful. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Now, two new parody horror films are underway that spoof everyone's favourite golden bear and the boy who never grew up, Variety reported. And if the titles are anything to go by - Winnie the Pooh: Death House and Peter Pan Goes to Hell - they're certainly not suited to younger audiences... First up, we're getting another Pooh-based horror with Winnie the Pooh: Death House which has been described as The Strangers meets The Purge. It will be directed by S.J. Evans (Dead of the Nite), the film's storyline involves "an unexpected school reunion in a remote country mansion – an event orchestrated by members of a cult who were mercilessly tormented by the guests as children. Now, years later, they’re out for gruesome revenge." "The script is supremely clever with scope for iconic visuals, and we have assembled a terrific young cast loaded with star potential. I’m very excited to share this dark and disturbing horror with the world," Evans said. Meanwhile, Peter Pan Goes to Hell, written by Adam Stephen Kelly and directed by Phil Claydon is said to be in the vain of horrors such as Psycho and Nightmares in a Damaged Brain. Although, there is not much information about the plot Claydon did provide some insight and shared his excitement for the film "I grew up on a healthy diet of low-budget horror from the masters like Sam Raimi, Wes Craven and Peter Jackson," he said. "In recent streamer times, opportunities to create high-concept horror on a small budget had vanished so I relished the opportunity to dive on board with Red Shadow Studios in carving out an environment for filmmakers to come and craft some grassroots scares. Let the mayhem commence." "The huge interest in horror movies based on public domain properties piqued my interest as it did many, but with Red Shadow Studios – in partnership with Dolphin Medien – I’m trying to bring together really talented filmmakers and high-caliber actors as I firmly believe that, in this space, budget doesn’t have to mean compromising on talent or creativity," Kelly added, describing the two films as "absolutely ‘out there’ gonzo takes on beloved children’s stories." Along with this, Cinderella is set to have a 'horror-fication' with the film Cinderella’s Curse being for sale at AFM and ITN Studios are set to the film in October 2023, according to Bloody Disgusting. The film is set to be produced and directed by Louisa Warren and written by Harry Boxley and the cast includes Kelly Rian Sanson, Chrissie Wunna and Danielle Scott. “This an incredibly unique spin on the Cinderella we all love and know. There are going to be some truly horrific deaths by her hands," Warren to the publication “I think the gore hounds are in for a treat in my dark retelling.” Elsewhere, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is set to start filming this Autumn, Collider reported. Film lovers are just realising that a famous Angela Bassett line is sampled in one of the biggest dance tracks of all time.
