Matthew Broderick was set to appear on ‘The View’ on their Wednesday, June 21, episode to promote his latest film ‘No Hard Feelings'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: No talk show’s completely impromptu, despite the contents often being a spur-of-the-moment thing, especially when it comes to ‘The View'. This particular talk show has its guests, segments, and topics all lined up in advance, and often even share it with their viewers on social media. ‘The View’ is particularly known for its brilliant line-up of guests, and that would have ideally included Matthew Broderick.

Broderick was set to appear on ‘The View’ as a live guest but never made it. So, the co-hosts including Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin were forced to make some last-minute changes to their schedules and move forward with the segment. Luckily, this meant more Hot Topics, but what happened to Broderick?

What happened to Matthew Broderick?

Broderick was set to appear on ‘The View’ on their Wednesday, June 21, episode to promote his latest film ‘No Hard Feelings'. It is extremely unusual for a guest to not appear on ‘The View’ but looks like Broderick is creating history and garnering attention for his upcoming film without even appearing on the talk show. Usually, ‘The View’ would also take over to Twitter to list their upcoming guests ahead of schedule but that never happened either. Instead, the tweet read, “@TheView is LIVE with a day of #HotTopics! 🔥” and that is exactly what happened. No Broderick, only Hot Topics. It is still unknown why Broderick skipped out on ‘The View’ especially since he appeared on ‘Live with Kelly and Mark’ only a week ago! Well, hopefully, there are ‘No Hard Feelings'.

Last minute changes

After Broderick canceled on ‘The View’ the co-hosts had to shift to a day filled with Hot Topics. There looked like there was a little confusion during one particular segment when Behar mentioned the ‘American Cleaning Institute’ and Haines interrupted her by asking about breaking for commercials but Behar completely ignored with a quick “I don’t know” and went back to talking about the topic in hand, and Haines went back to sipping her drink. Looks like ‘The View’ will have to turn to Hot Topics every time a guest cancels, or have a better plan in place moving forward. Only time will tell if Broderick will appear on ‘The View’ later this week!
