CAIRO, GEORGIA: Season 5, Episode 6 of 'Welcome to Plathville' will broadcast on TLC on Tuesday, October 10, at 10 pm ET. This season has seen a lot of upheaval, and Kim Plath in the Tuesday episode of 'Welcome to Plathville' is confronting a dilemma that others have faced in the past.
The current season of 'Welcome to Plathville' has been a significant departure for fans who are accustomed to seeing the Plath family function as a cohesive unit. Things changed for the family after Kim and Barry Plath divorced. Though they'd been living their lives as Christian Fundamentalists for most of the series, things changed when Kim and Barry decided to split up, and the program hasn't been the same since.
While Season 5 of 'Welcome to Plathville' has been entertaining for fans, the shift in tone has been noticeable. While Kim and Barry negotiate their lives independently, the family's attention has shifted to Olivia Plath, Ethan Plath's wife. As Ethan and Olivia appear to be happy on 'Welcome to Plathville,' their lives have been playing out rather differently on social media. With Kim and Barry's divorce and Olivia and Ethan's possible separation, things have changed for 'Welcome to Plathville,' which may have an effect on the show's future.

What to expect from 'Welcome to Plathville' Season 5, Episode 6?
Ethan and Olivia have adapted to their new community in Minnesota and have great aspirations for their marriage in "Come What May..." Micah is concerned about his future in Los Angeles. And, with her and Barry's divorce imminent, Kim informs her pal of a huge change in her love life.
Kim confesses that she is nervous when her pal asks her whether she is nervous in the video. "I'm terrified," she confesses. "I feel like it’s time for me to kind of talk to the children and let them know that I’m seeing somebody." But, while it may be time, she is unsure if she is prepared.
As Kim clarifies, “I know some people wait until they know they’re going to marry the person to introduce them to their children. I know some people introduce right away, but this is all new to me. I’m trying to figure it out. So I don’t know. It just feels like now is a good time.”
Her buddy stated she didn't tell her kids about her love life until she knew he was going to stay the night and be in their lives, "but you know your kids better than me."
What happened in 'Welcome to Plathville' Season 5, Episode 5?
Ethan and Olivia planned to relocate from Tampa, Florida, to Minnesota in the October 3 episode of TLC's Welcome to Plathville. They are both excited that their new house will be close to Ethan's grandparents (his father, Barry Plath's parents).
Despite the recent confrontation with Ethan's parents and brothers, Olivia believes Minnesota will be a "supportive" atmosphere for their marriage.
The pair had been struggling with an ongoing quarrel with Ethan's sister — and Olivia's former closest friend, Moriah, as they celebrated their four-year wedding anniversary. Moriah moved out of their shared house and cut off communication with both her brother and sister-in-law after a falling out with Olivia. She even went so far as to block Ethan's phone and social media accounts.
Olivia's relationship with both Plath parents has been strained, in addition to the turmoil with Moriah. For years, she and Ethan's mother, Kim, have been at odds. Barry also accused Olivia of "brainwashing" Ethan in the season opener.
Ethan was upbeat about their plan to emigrate. He stated that removing himself from his immediate family would result in "less of a negative drain" on his and Olivia's marriage.
Later in the episode, Ethan and Olivia throw a farewell party the night before they leave.
Several of their acquaintances attended the celebration, as did Olivia's brother Nathan, but none of the Plath siblings.
Except for his sister Lydia, Ethan did not say farewell to any of his family members. "It is what it is," the oldest Plath son, who earlier claimed to feel "caught in the middle" between his wife and family members, said of departing without reconciling with Moriah: "It is what it is."
Olivia refused to answer a producer's question about her current relationship with the Plath family. Instead, she claimed that she had decided to concentrate on the "positive things" in her life.
Fans watched Micah on a group excursion with several of his pals, two of whom are ladies he appears to be interested in dating, in the same episode.
"I met Allie before Sidney, but then I got closer to Sidney, and I'm like, 'Well, I just met you, I'm interested in you.' And then here's Allie, and I'm like, 'hi, hi, hi,'" Micah explained.
When a producer questioned Micah about whether he knew Allie "generally prefers women to men," he quipped that he didn't. However, he appears to be well-informed of the sexual preferences of the women he is interested in. But that minor detail does not appear to concern him.
