MANCHESTER, ENGLAND: Ty Jones aka "Ned Sneeran" has been blessed with an appearance similar to that of sensational British singer and songwriter, Ed Sheeran. He has managed to establish a successful career as well as a relationship with his fiance Amanda, all because of his physical resemblance to Sheeran. But recently he got into trouble with the short-form video platform, TikTok, as they temporarily banned Jones for impersonating Sheeran.
Having said that, the videos Jones posts of himself singing on TikTok make it obvious that he lacks Sheeran's singing talent. He even said he felt "guilty" when he had to tell excited fans he wasn't the real Sheeran.

Who is Ty Jones?
Ty Jones is a 28-year-old from Manchester, England, who is known for his uncanny resemblance to singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. Due to his amusing impersonations of the singer, the lookalike, who was kicked off the short-video platform, has attracted more than 100,000 followers on TikTok. One Sheeran fan, though, doesn't seem to mind the resemblance because Jones' fiancee, Amanda, used to make jokes about wanting to wed Sheeran. The best part is that they met at a Sheeran concert and now have a child together named Cherry Rose, who they named after the popular singer's wife.
"I have people coming over crying and shaking, as if I am actually Ed, they say 'I know you're trying to keep a low profile', and sometimes they're that worked up they can't even get a selfie in focus because their hands are shaking." Jones once told LADbible.
Why did TikTok ban Ty Jones?
"It’s quite obvious I’m a lookalike. I actually can’t sing. People always comment on my videos, saying, 'Oh my God, it’s Ed Sheeran," Jones shared in a conversation with The Sun. Jones continued, “Sometimes I have it in bold writing. I feel like it’s discrimination because I can’t change the way I look. Just because I look like Ed Sheeran, does that mean I can’t make TikToks?” "I make videos of me living my life as an Ed lookalike. It’s my full-time job. I was keen to promote what I do and market my business," he added. "Maybe TikTok should ban Ed for impersonating me as well given that we look the same.”
After reviewing his appeal, TikTok told Jones, “It was determined that your account has violated our Community Guidelines and cannot be restored.” However, Jones' account was later reinstated, according to The Sun.
